A year or so ago I purchased a sheet of rubber, a carving tool with various nibs and blindly began whittling away. The aftermath: a questionable box with a ribbon on top and a deflated sense of confidence. I tucked those suckers and his friends away in my craft closet until recently... (present)
I know I am creative. I know I am artistic. And most importantly, I know I have a pretty steady hand when it comes to precision and pressure. So with all those ingredients how could I be so bad at carving stamps?! To prove myself wrong, I tried again. (babushka)

With the same sense of defeat about to creep up again, I watched some YouTube videos on stamp carving and tried again. (babushka 1)
Admiring how close to perfect this matryoshka doll looked, I did a few more of her family members.
