retraining the brain

I am a sucker for cute, pretty notebooks. When I was young, I would buy all sorts of notebooks from the Sanrio store, which I called the Hello Kitty store. I reasoned to myself that I would write in them but end up hoarding them in the closet until the page yellowed.

I had every intention to fill those lovely pages up with even lovelier notes and drawings. But alas, I'm a messy artist with scattered thoughts so the scribbles and doodles end up on store receipts, candy wrappers and newspaper ads.

I constantly have to remind myself to put all those thoughts into a centralized location (ie. one notebook) so I can refer to them at a later date. So here's to retraining my brain to be a bit more Martha Stewart-y. I will now regurgitate my jumble of ideas in the form of lists and pictures in one notebook. Let's see how long that lasts. Anyone have that same problem?

  1. Jamie has a notebook he keeps all his notes, questions, brainstorms, and lists in. He's been doing this for years and has quite a collection.

  2. I'm sure Callie would LOVE to see Jamie's notebooks one day and find them ever so fascinating :)
