A while back, I asked my husband's grandmother about a vegan cake recipe and she gladly shared it...on an actual recipe card! I mean, recipe cards aren't new to me but to be given one was such a gift in and of itself. People email recipes back and forth nowadays that actual paper recipe exchange is a lost art. I'm glad some people are attempting its revival. Next time someone asks for your recipe, try ditching the electronic version and handwrite it!
i love cute recipe cards! the sad part is, i can't ever bring myself to buy any because i just get all my recipes online. my poor recipe box just sits in my kitchen, full of ideas, gathering dust. i should really use it more -- and then i'd have a good excuse for new cards :)
ReplyDeleteLyndsey, that's better than not owning a recipe card box! Truthfully, I only have one recipe card, from my husband's grandmother. Embarrassing.
